Most people will never see more than the exterior of your home. To catch an on-looker's attention and create eye-catching curb appeal, you will want to give your home's exterior the same time and attention to detail as you do the interior. So why stucco?
- Wood: Wood can warp, crack, rot, shrink, swell, or stick when exposed to humidity
- Brick: Textures and colors of brick cannot be changed later without painting
- Vinyl Siding: Limited color selection. Limited style selection. Subject to fading
- Synthetic Stucco: Usually not as thick as Portland cement stucco, which does not hold-up to impact. Can have issues with moisture between wall and stucco, which can lead to rotting, sheathing, and damage to wood framing. Can also corrode metal framing and metal attachments.
